Make the chat widget look like part of your site

Colours, fonts, corners, header backgrounds, launcher and watermark. A tour of everything you can change in Appearance.

On this page

A chat bubble that clashes with your site feels like an ad. One that matches feels like part of your business. Almost everything below lives in Appearance, and the live preview updates as you change it.

Colour, type and shape

  • Brand colour: used for the launcher, your visitors' messages, buttons and links.
  • Font: seven choices, including Inter, DM Sans, Manrope, Nunito Sans, Lora and your visitor's system font.
  • Corner radius: anything from sharp (0px) to soft and round (28px).
  • Mode: light, dark, or follow the visitor's system setting.

The header

The welcome screen's header can be your brand colour, a solid colour, a gradient or a photo, with an optional pattern on top (dots, grid, waves, rings and more). Text colour is picked automatically for contrast, or you can set it to light or dark.

Avatar and launcher

  • Upload an avatar, or keep the BusinessLyft mark on a background you choose.
  • Pick a launcher icon, or use your own image.
  • Set its size, its roundness from square to circle, and which side of the page it sits on.
  • Add a short label next to it, like Chat with us, and nudge its position so it doesn't cover anything on your site.

Words

Give your assistant a name and a welcome message, and add suggested questions so visitors know what to ask. In Settings you can also shape its personality and tone: brief, balanced or detailed.

Your watermark

On Pro, replace "Powered by BusinessLyft" with your own text, link and logo.
