The agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and BusinessLyft for using our website, dashboard and chat widget (the "service"). By creating an account or using the service you accept them. If you use BusinessLyft for a business, you confirm you can accept these terms on its behalf. Our privacy policy explains how we handle data.
Your account
- Give accurate details and keep your login secure. You're responsible for activity in your account and workspaces.
- You must be at least 16, and old enough to form a binding contract where you live.
- Tell us straight away at [email protected] if you think someone has accessed your account without permission.
Plans, trials & limits
- Plans, prices and limits (such as assistants and messages per month) are shown on our pricing page. When you reach a limit, your assistant may pause until the next period or until you upgrade.
- Free trials last for the period shown when you sign up. We don't ask for a card to start a trial.
- Paid plans renew each billing period until you cancel. If we change prices, we'll tell you in advance and the change applies from your next period.
Your content
You keep all rights to the content you bring: your website pages, files, knowledge, settings and your visitors' conversations ("your content"). You give us permission to host, process and use your content only to provide and improve the service for you, for example to crawl your site, build your knowledge base and generate replies.
You confirm you have the right to use your content this way, including any website you ask us to crawl.
AI answers
Your assistant writes replies with AI, based on your content. AI can make mistakes or misread a question, so its answers are not professional, legal, medical or financial advice. You're responsible for checking your knowledge is accurate and for how you rely on the assistant's answers. Use the Playground to test it before going live.
Acceptable use
Don't use BusinessLyft to:
- Break the law, or infringe anyone's intellectual property, privacy or other rights.
- Deceive people, including pretending the assistant is a human when someone sincerely asks.
- Send spam, collect data you're not allowed to collect, or ask visitors for passwords or full payment card details in chat.
- Spread malware, or attack, probe, overload or work around the limits and security of the service.
- Create content that is hateful, harassing, sexually exploitative, or that promotes violence or self-harm.
- Resell or embed the service for others in a way your plan doesn't allow.
We may pause an assistant or account that breaks these rules, and we'll tell you why unless the law or safety prevents it.
Your website & visitors
When you put the widget on your website, you're responsible for it there. In particular you'll:
- Tell your visitors about the assistant and how their data is used, in your own privacy policy.
- Have a lawful basis for the data your assistant collects, including any contact details it asks for.
- Use the domain lock to keep your assistant on websites you control.
We process your visitors' data on your behalf and following your instructions, as described in our privacy policy.
Actions & integrations
Actions can call your APIs, send webhooks and show links you configure. You're responsible for those systems, the credentials you give us and what they do with the data we send. We aren't responsible for third-party services you connect.
Availability & changes
We work to keep BusinessLyft fast and available, but we can't promise it will never be interrupted. We improve the service often and may change or remove features. If a change significantly reduces what a paid plan includes, we'll tell you first.
Ending the agreement
- You can stop using BusinessLyft and delete your account at any time from your profile.
- We may suspend or close accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these terms, or where we're required to by law.
- When an account is deleted, its workspaces, assistants, knowledge and conversations are deleted as described in our privacy policy.
Disclaimers & liability
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we don't give warranties beyond those in these terms, and we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.
Changes & contact
We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top, and for significant changes we'll let you know before they take effect. If you keep using BusinessLyft after that, the new terms apply. Questions? Email [email protected].
